Race Night - DGC Junior Golf

  Saturday 19th November at the club saw the now annual Race Night and disco event and this year the purpose was to raise funds for Drumpelliers Juniors.
  A full race card with sponsors for horses and jockey's in all 8 races, some doubling up, made for an exciting and enjoyable night. There were bids on the final auction race totaling £380 with a 1st prize of £190 on the winning horse, No. 4, going to David Spence's table. Captain Sandy Lauder announced at the end of the racing that the event had raised a total of £1,200 which included a generous donation of £100 by clubmember Walter Francis. Junior Convenor Gordon Crilly thanked everybody on behalf of the juniors for their attendance and generous participation. Gordon presented the final amount to our Professional Ian Taylor. Ian stated that along with his assistant Pro Ross Neill everything possible would be done to make sure that the juniors will benefit from this support.
